The boombox, with its two attached 4" speakers, gives the plug-and-play receiver portability, allowing you to play the unit virtually anywhere. An auxiliary input lets you connect additional components. For the system to work, you'll need a subscription to SIRIUS Satellite Radio in addition to the tuner. SIRIUS Satellite Radio: SIRIUS Satellite Radio features more than 120 streams of original programming beamed coast-to-coast, including 65 streams of commercial-free, digital-quality music, and news, talk, sports, entertainment, and children's programming. Note: Satellite radio service is available only within the continental United States. Service is not available in Alaska and Hawaii. Power Options: The boombox can be operated on household AC current when the supplied AC adapter is used. The unit can also operate using 8 "D" batteries, allowing you to take it with you wherever you go. The batteries are automatically bypassed whenever the AC adapter is plugged into the unit. Antenna: The unit comes with a SIRIUS satellite antenna with a 19.5' cable. The antenna cable has a single SMB connector. You must place the antenna in a location that has a relatively clear view of the SIRIUS satellite paths. For convenience, the antenna can be mounted to the 4 pegs on the back of the unit.
